Soy: Soybeans contain a protein that is full of compounds called isoflavones. A study done by Kraemer and his colleagues advocated that soy protein has estrogen-like effects which can help in lowering the sexual drive.3


Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors: These are the drugs that were specifically made for patients having mood disorders, anxiety, and depression. However, the patients who consumed these, claimed that these totally decrease their interest in sex. Many people nowadays take such medicines to lower their libido.4


Digitalis: Digitalis drug is widely used in clinics and critical-care settings to lower the heartbeat. It also is widely used for other purposes. Several research projects found that the patients who received digitalis injections significantly decreased sex drive.
